    Web3 NFT ($5M crypto funding)

    Opportunity

    An old friend from the Silicon Roundabout days approached me about helping him catalyse his web3 business Fayre; it was to be an NFT marketplace and brand engagement platform. The crypto market - and especially NFTs themselves - were on a feverish bull run so it was about taking advantage of the friendly environment and going big.

    Execution

    There was so much to do, to build, and to scale. For us, with the NFT hype train running wild, there was nothing more important than fast crypto capital and household name brands to pin to the mast, all the while building up to a Public Sale (a web3 version of an IPO) with serious momentum. This was my first dip in the water igniting a web3 proposition so I was very much learning as I went about my business.

    Outcome

    In 3 months, we'd raised almost $5,000,000 in crypto capital, across 5 different investment rounds, with the token price rocketing 16x in the process. Technology was being built quicker than it could be briefed, we'd secured Espanol FC as a headline client, and I had brought many big names to the table to help light up our pipeline and public appeal. Brands such as the Jackson Family, David Bowie, LiveNation, IPA, NARL and F1's Williams were all on the hook and with many signed LOIs between them. In addition to this, I'd helped recruit key personnel for the account and client services team and I brought on intermediaries from my network who rolled out Fayre to a global audience of clients.
