Deep sea mining ($300M IPO)
Whilst supporting a family office across their portfolio, there was one company which I spent a lot of time on. Formerly Deep Green Resources, now The Metals Company, the objective was to get the business in the kind of shape to secure $150,000,000 of financing.
Starting with a rebrand, it was time to take the company away from its technical image and overly complex blueprint mining depictions and position it more as a frontier, future metals discovery proposition and taking the stakeholders through a highly visual journey. I directed a series of realistic animations, managed a bold redesign and implemented a revitalised copywriting tone with a new lexicon of language.
Alongside this, a new recruitment process began which culminated in securing a heavyweight CEO to take the company forward.
With a major repositioning, I then took the company into private and exclusive wealth circles in Monaco, Geneva, Zurich, Singapore, Dubai, Miami, NYC and more. Capital was secured out of Canada and later on, a $3BN merger was completed which took the company public (with $300M of funding).
